The challenge

A coal mine is one of the most complex operations in heavy industry.

Continuous production, a fleet of heavy earth-moving machinery, diesel at industrial scale, explosives magazines, rotating contractor shifts, weighbridge dispatch — under an unforgiving safety-compliance regime. Yet the mine ran almost none of it on a system.

01
SAP handled finance — the other ~75% lived on spreadsheets and paper, with no single source of truth across operational functions.
02
No real-time visibility for leadership, no live KPIs and no daily P&L — the picture arrived weeks late.
03
Nothing surfaced anomalies, fuel theft, equipment underperformance and safety lapses were caught late, if at all.
04
No structured, auditable workflows, and a hard regulatory driver — DGMS Circular 08/2020, the mine-safety regulator's digital mandate, to satisfy.

What the mine needed wasn't another point tool — it was the operating system the operation never had.

The heart of it · the whole mine on one pane of glass

Every function the mine runs, reconciled into one system of record.

Every function, today fragmented
Production · fleet · fuel · dispatch
Explosives · stores · sub-assembly
Workforce · safety · contractors
minebase platform
→ One source of truth
Reconciled production, live Daily P&L and consolidated KPIs — from the weighbridge to the Mine ED.
→ Compliance by design
A non-editable, append-only audit trail mapped to the DGMS mandate the mine must meet.

Because MineOps is built on Minebase, the deep mining domain model, the DGMS compliance backbone and the integration framework come as a proven foundation — not a from-scratch build.

What MineOps does

13 modules, one system of record for the entire mine.

From production and fuel to safety and statutory reporting — used by everyone from the weighbridge operator to the Mine ED.

13 modules

One system of record

Production, fleet, fuel, explosives, safety, dispatch, contractors, workforce, stores, sub-assembly, MIS & daily P&L, DGMS — and a consolidated command center.

A dashboard per role

Mine Agent, Fleet Controller, Fuel Manager, MIS Analyst, Mine ED, HR, Safety Officer, Weighbridge Operator and Store Keeper each get tailored, scoped access.

Compliance in the core

DGMS, built in

Digital Form-A registers, Aadhaar-linked biometric attendance, machinery reference numbers, fatigue management and a non-editable audit trail.

Reconciled production

A number you can trust

Coal extraction is captured three ways — survey, GPS trips and manual odometer/Parchi via OCR — then reconciled.

Real-time P&L

Daily, not month-end

A Daily P&L combines production with fuel, workforce and other costs — a live picture instead of a monthly one.

Works offline

Built for the pit

Critical forms — attendance, fuel, Parchi, checklists — run offline as a PWA for poor connectivity and sync when back online.

Why it works

A platform built around the obligation the mine can't avoid.

Compliance is the moat.
Built to satisfy the DGMS mandate the mine must meet — a budgeted obligation, and a depth a generic ops tool can't replicate.
One source of truth, finally.
The ~75% of operations that lived in spreadsheets now runs on one auditable system — with leadership seeing it live.
It surfaces what was invisible.
Reconciled production, structured fuel data and a non-editable trail turn fuel theft and safety gaps into things the system can flag.
Built on a platform, not a one-off.
Because it runs on Minebase, it's repeatable across mines and ready for the intelligence layer that comes next.

Under the hood

How MineOps is wired

A modern web app (React / Vite / TypeScript) over a structured, non-editable-audit-trail data layer, with PWA offline-sync for the pit. It plugs into the real stack: SAP ECC (endpoint-agnostic — swappable for Tally), Hectronic fuel telemetry, biometric attendance and GPS.

Minebase is built to grow into intelligence: the roadmap layers fuel-theft anomaly detection, equipment-breakdown prediction and a natural-language MIS assistant on top of the system of record — the operations platform becoming an intelligent one.

In their words

"Our mine ran on spreadsheets, paper and disconnected tools — everything except the finance in SAP. MineOps puts the whole operation in one place, keeps us compliant by design, and for the first time gives us a live picture of what's actually happening at the pit. It's the operating system we didn't have."

This is for you if…

…you run a mine — or any asset- and compliance-heavy operation — where the real work lives in spreadsheets around an ERP that only does finance.

Minebase is the platform that makes the whole operation one auditable, real-time system. We don't advise on AI — we build the platform and run it with you.
