About the role
Gantry is the framework that takes agents from demo to production: memory, tools, evals, supervision, observability. Our engineers contribute to the open-source frameworks the rest of the market builds on. This is the team that owns that depth.
You’ll design the primitives that every Forward Deployed Team depends on, and that show up in our public repos.
What you'll own
- Design and build core Gantry primitives: agent runtime, tool protocol, memory, evals.
- Make the platform reliable and observable under real production load.
- Maintain and grow the open-source surface: docs, examples, community contributions.
- Partner with delivery teams to turn recurring field problems into platform features.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building developer-facing platforms, frameworks, or infrastructure.
- Deep Python or TypeScript; you care about API design and backwards compatibility.
- You’ve operated systems in production and debugged the hard, intermittent stuff.
- Strong opinions on how agents should be built, earned from building them.
Nice to have
- Open-source maintainership or notable contributions.
- Experience with LLM serving, distributed systems, or eval tooling.
